Attributed to Hermann BÖHN Pair of hairpins or headdress, in vermeil, silver 2nd title 800‰, of openwork spherical form, with decoration of ram heads and winged angels, able to open by a screw system receiving a carrier element of a scent system, provided with a double chain finished with ferrets. The double pins in gilded metal. In a case with the form signed H. BÖHM, jeweler and jeweller in Vienna. KOHLMARKT n°1148, to the city of Petersburg. D. 3,50 cm L. approx. 15,80 cm Gross weight 123,40 g Master jeweler from Vienna, active from the middle of the 19th century, Hermann Böhm was particularly inspired by the works of the renaissance in the collections of Frederick August II, known as Augustus the Strong (1696-1763), exhibited in the famous Grünes Gewölbe "Green Vault" in Dresden. His work was represented at the international exhibition Welt-Ausstellung in Vienna in 1873 and exported to Paris and throughout Europe.
