Marcel Damboise (1903-1992) Small portrait of Danielle, first version, 1964 Pink marble Signed (on the left side): Damboise 19 x 10.5 x 12 cm Provenance: Artist's studio, by descent In this portrait, Danielle, the artist's youngest daughter, is twenty-three years old. Her father often portrays her. More of a tailor than a model, Marcel Damboise chose a delicate pink marble for this unique stone work. This portrait also exists in terracotta.
