Claude LHOSTE (1929-2009) - Lot 86
Claude LHOSTE (1929-2009) Stylized bird Bronze with green patina. Signed LHOSTE on the front. H.27 cm During his childhood, Claude Lhoste was fascinated by the animals he discovered at the zoo in Vincennes. He then turned to sculpture and surrounded himself with his own menagerie. His works, modelled in clay and then cast in bronze, reflect the artist's admiration for his models, whom he observes scrupulously in order to capture their vitality and psychology.
