Georges Lucien GUYOT (1885-1973) Panther sharpening its claws Posthumous casting. Bronze with dark brown patina. Signed Guyot on the terrace. Bears the mark of the founder Susse Frs Eds Paris Cire perdue. H.34,5 cm Guyot is a figure of the animal sculpture of the thirties. Close to Pompon, he was part of the artistic movement of the Group of Twelve with, among others, Jeanne Poupelet and Paul Jouve. Until the end of his life, he worked in Picasso's studio at the Bateau-Lavoir.
