In folio, full bronze morocco, plate decorated with a semis of cold fleurons in gilt crosses surrounded by a triple frame of cold fillets, gilt fillets, and a wide band of stamped flowers in crosses also stamped with a gilt dot at their intersections, spine with nerves bearing the same decoration of cold fleurons in gilt boxes, burgundy morocco covers with a triple bronze morocco frame, green silk endpapers, triple cold fillet on the edges, all edges gilt, covers and spine preserved, dark green morocco folder with bands and cover, spine with 5 nerves titled, shaped case bordered and lined (rel. M. Lortic) - [3 ff.], 136 pp, 2 ff. 125 illustrations (including 4 h-t.), covers, ornamented letters, fleurons and culs-de-lampe composed by Engels. Edition at 300 numbered copies, this one of the 10 first copies on Japon (n° 7) containing an original watercolour, a suite in colours on Japon, a suite in black on Chine, a suite of the scratched plates on Chine. The following is bound in: 1/ - L.A.S. from Piazza confirming the subscription of his client for his 4th head copy. 2/ - Specimen in reduced format (20,9 x 15,7 cm), 4 pp. under illustrated cover 3/ - Specimen in the format of the edition (4 pp. illustrated in colour under final covers). Book in perfect condition in a superb binding by Lortic.
