Robert WLÉRICK (1882-1944) Jacqueline Wlérick, 1942-1943 Bronze proof numbered 5/10. Sand casting Lucien Thinot 2000. Signed (on the back, bottom): R. Wlérick. 56 x 45 x 28 cm PROVENANCE : Artist's family. EXHIBITION: - Robert Wlérick (1882-1944), Paris, Musée Rodin, 31 March-28 June 1982; Mont-de-Marsan, Musée Despiau-Wlérick, 17 July-26 September 1982, Éditions Musée Rodin, 1982, no. 91 p. 83, repr. (bronze print no. 3/10). Jacqueline Wlérick is the sculptor's eldest daughter. A gilded bronze proof of this model is in the collections of the Musée national d'art moderne (Inv. AM809S). It is on deposit at the Musée des beaux-arts de Calais. Three other proofs are in the museums of Calais, Sainte-Croix de Poitiers (Inv.967.14.4), and the fine arts of Lyon (Inv.1950-1).
