Marcel DAMBOISE (1903-1992) THE RASCAL, 1931 Original shellac plaster Signed (at the back of the terrace on the right)  75 x 20 x 16.5 cm Inv. MD. S-001-00b Marcel Damboise worked on the figure of La Coquine as early as 1930, when he rented his own studio at La Ruche. The work is also known as Jeune Fille à la chemise. In 1939, following an exhibition at the "Kunstnernes Hus" in Oslo, the National Museum of Architecture and Design in Oslo acquired a bronze print of La Coquine for its collections. A second bronze print has been located in a private collection in Sweden.
