Landscapes with fishermen, Japan, late 19th century Rare broken-type brown tortoiseshell fan, gold-lacquered on both sides, of a wide riverside panorama with palm trees and figures including fishermen and peasants. H.t. 26.5 cm (ribbon to be replaced, rim missing) Hawksbill specimens of the pre-Convention marine turtle Cheloniidae spp (I/A), predating June 1, 1947 and therefore conforming to EC regulation 338/97 of 09/12/1996 art.2-Wmc. A CITES re-export permit will be required for export from the European Union, at the expense of the future buyer.
