Dorat, Claude-Joseph]. - Mes Fantaisies. Amsterdam and Paris, Sébastien Jorry, 1768. In-8, bound in full contemporary fawn calf, the boards decorated with a triple gilt fillet, spandrels with large fleurons, smooth spine highly ornamented, title-piece, roulette on the edges and inside, gilt edges - xlviii (preliminary speech), 238 pp. (epistles and detached pieces). Illustrated with 3 vignettes engraved by De Ghendt after Eisen (without the frontispiece, Cohen 320). First spine weakened with piercing at tail, headbands faded, corners pierced. Bound in fine by the same author: Ma Philosophie. The Hague and Paris, Delalain, 1771 - 47 pp. (all included). Illustrated with a plate h-t engraved by De Ghendt after Marillier and a vignette (without the cul-de-lampe (sic) announced by Cohen, 319, on page 38 which has 13 lines like the first printings). Work on strong paper and with large margins.
