Small in-8 bound in full green calf decorated with a stylized floral motif running across the 2 covers and the spine at the head and tail, ribbed spine, author, title and edges in gilt, spine flaps decorated with a broad listel and a gilt frame spandrelled with stylized mosaic flowers, floral-decorated moire endpapers, small-dot decoration on the edges, edges in gilt, covers and spine preserved, green morocco jacket with bands and shaped slipcase bordered (E. and A. Maylander) - Scattered foxing - 163 pp. (2 last n. ch.). Illustrated with 35 color compositions by Sylvain Sauvage. Edition of 990 copies, this one of the top 40 on Arches vellum, including a black suite of engravings and 1 original pen-and-ink drawing signed in pencil (n°31).
